PVC needs additives to be processed well and to perform in use. Processing aids improve fusion and melt flow, lubricants reduce friction during processing, acrylic impact modifiers and chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) raise impact resistance, and foaming agents are used to make lighter, foamed products. These materials are used in PVC profiles, pipes, sheets and other PVC products.
