Vistamaxx™ is ExxonMobil's family of propylene-based elastomers, made of isotactic propylene units with random ethylene distribution, used in films, thermoplastic compounds, polypropylene modification and TPE blends.
Vistamaxx is not the same as POE: the two differ in structure and in how they behave in a formulation, so one should not replace the other without checking the required properties and running process trials.
6102 and 6202 have a density of 0.862 and 6502 of 0.865. 6102, with the lowest MFI, gives more melt strength and flexibility; 6202 flows more easily and accepts more filler, suiting filled compounds and injection-moulded parts; 6502, with the highest MFI and the lowest ethylene content, is made for compounding, injection moulding and polymer modification, and blends with PE, PP and styrenic block copolymers.
Values are taken from the producer's technical data sheet (TDS); each grade can be used beyond the uses listed. To receive the TDS and COA of the offered shipment, choose a grade or review alternatives, contact NAB CHEM.
Brings softness and recovery to PP and polyolefin blends.
Blends well with polypropylene and polyethylene.
6202 suits filled compounds such as sound-deadening sheets.
Used in compounding, extrusion, injection moulding and film.
